For BMW X3 use the F Pads and mount on the top of the mirror housing. Alternatively you can use the Falcon Mirror Clamps part number 4220. Do not overtighten.

Only fit 1 clamp at a time holding the clamp at about a 30 deg angle with the gripper pad canted forwards so that the blade in the pad inserts into the slot in the top of the mirrors.
An amount of mechanical dexterity and sympathy is required to ensure precise engagement.
Once both clamps are correctly fitted insert the bar.
